General Tso's Tofu

  1. Press the tofu to remove excess water and cut into cubes.
  2. In a bowl, mix the soy sauce and cornstarch. Add the tofu cubes and toss to coat.
  3. Heat the oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the tofu and cook until crispy.
  4. In another bowl, mix the hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, and vegetable broth.
  5. In the same pan, add the garlic, ginger, and red chili peppers. Cook for a minute.
  6. Add the sauce to the pan and stir to coat the tofu.
  7. Serve the tofu with the sauce, garnished with green onions and sesame seeds.
